Staff Accountant

Own your ledger areas from open to close, and build a reputation for getting it right the first time.

Our Staff Accountants take full ownership of assigned areas of the general ledger for US-based clients. You'll post journals, clear reconciliations and explain what the numbers mean. You'll work directly with client finance teams and help shape how the close runs.

• Own your areas of the month-, quarter- and year-end close: accruals, prepayments, allocations, cut-off and fixed assets
• Perform bank, intercompany and balance sheet reconciliations, clearing differences instead of carrying them forward
• Prepare variance analysis against budget and forecast, with commentary that explains the movement
• Support financial statement preparation, budgeting and forecasting cycles, and external audits
• Review Junior Accountants' work where delegated, and drive process improvement and automation

What you'll bring

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or ACCA (one is required)
• 3+ years in general accounting, with demonstrable full-cycle close experience
• Hands-on experience with at least one ERP or accounting package (QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, Dynamics or Sage Intacct)
• Intermediate Excel: lookups, pivot tables and reconciling large data sets
• Strong grasp of accounting principles and financial reporting

Nice to have

Experience serving US clients or working US business hours. US GAAP exposure is welcome but not required; a grounding in IFRS is equally valid.
