Blewstream has confirmed a strategic investment in Blewcoast, its environmental subsidiary, bringing the Caribbean's most experienced environmental consultancy together with the firm's carbon accounting, assurance and decarbonisation expertise.
The move consolidates two capabilities that clients have historically had to buy separately. Environmental consultancies advise on impact and compliance; accounting firms verify the numbers. Splitting the two across vendors has meant duplicated data collection, inconsistent baselines, and reporting that is difficult to audit.
Sustainability disclosure is moving from voluntary narrative to audited fact. Investors and regulators increasingly expect emissions data to be prepared with the same rigour as financial statements, with a clear trail from source data to disclosed figure.
By combining consultancy and assurance in a single engagement, clients consolidate their sustainability spend, sharpen compliance, and run their transition to a low-carbon future on numbers their auditors and investors can trust.
Existing Blewcoast clients will see no disruption to current engagements. Over the coming months, carbon accounting and assurance services will be available through the same delivery team, with shared data governance and a single point of accountability.
For Blewstream clients already using our managed finance services, sustainability reporting can now sit alongside the finance function rather than beside it: the same controls, the same close calendar, the same audit trail.
